Video Technology Program Coordinator and Faculty
North Lake College
Andy Chiles began teaching full time at North Lake College in 1997 and has served as program coordinator of its Video Technology program since 2000. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in radio, television and film from the University of North Texas. He has worked in the TV industry for more than 25 years as an audio engineer and video production director.
As the owner and operator of an audio recording studio, he has engineered numerous commercial music releases and has worked as a sound designer for documentaries and independent feature films.
He was the 2005 North Lake recipient of the Minnie Stevens Piper Award for teaching excellence and is a member of the Audio Engineering Society.
