Travel, Exposition and Meeting Management Degree and Certificate Options
Richland’s TEMM credit program includes an associate degree and two certificates.
The Travel, Exposition and Meeting Management Associate in Applied Sciences degree includes three specializations:
- Meeting and convention management
- Exposition/trade show management
- Travel management (agency operations and tourism)

In addition to specific technical skills and knowledge related to the travel and tourism field, related study areas include principles of management, applied mathematics, reading and writing and verbal communication skills.
The Certificate in Meetings is a 32-hour certificate that provides skills required to work in the meeting planning industry.
The Certificate in Tourism and Destination Management is a 32-hour certificate that provides an overview of the tourism industry and role of the destination management company. Destination management is a growing segment of the industry that requires knowledge of attractions, accommodations, transportation options, government regulation and supplier contacts relating to travel destinations.

Like all colleges of the Dallas County Community College District, Richland College is accredited by the Commission of Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges, the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities (formerly the college section of the Texas State Teachers Association) and the League for Innovation in the Community College.
