Valerie Martin has taught Radiologic Sciences at Brookhaven since January 2004 and previously served as program director for Midwestern State University and Kilgore College. She has been an imaging technologist since 1979 and is certified as a radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

She is a member of the North Texas Radiologic Technologists Society, the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, and the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology.
