Norm Burgess has served as DCCCD faculty since 2006 and teaches Introduction to Radiology, Procedures Lab, Patient Care and a seminar class. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management and ethics from Dallas Christian College and has served as official radiographer for the Dallas Cowboys for the past 20 years, handling the team’s X-rays. He served as training specialist for the Eastman Kodak Company for 29 years and as director of the School of Radiologic Technology at Citizens Memorial Medical Center in Victoria, Texas, for nine years.
Mr. Burgess is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and is an emergency medical technician (EMT). He belongs to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiology (AEIRS) and the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists (TSRT). He was awarded the Bronze Star by the U.S. Army during his service in Vietnam from 1969-70.
