Mark Meyer earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and in nursing, both from the University of Utah. He earned a Master of Science degree in nursing administration from the University of the Incarnate Word and a doctorate in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Having served six years in the U.S. Air Force, his clinical experience is in emergency room and ICU nursing. Mr. Meyer has been teaching nursing since 2002. He has served in several nursing administration positions. His teaching areas of interest are nursing management, medical-surgical nursing and HIV nursing. His research area of interest is STD and HIV prevention.
