Richland College

Genny Espinosa served as associate dean and program director of the Multimedia Department for two years and presently serves as faculty in the program. She has taught at Richland College for more than 20 years, originally as a ceramics instructor and for the past 10 years as a multimedia instructor. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an A.B.D. from Texas A&M - Commerce. She is presently completing her Ed.D. in secondary and higher education at Texas A&M - Commerce with an emphasis in educational technology.

“I have a passion for teaching and have worked extensively on developing the curriculum for several core courses in multimedia, including Introduction to Multimedia, Web Design 1, Portfolio and Project Analysis,” she says.

“My educational philosophy has emphasized assessment through hands-on projects with extensive interactivity, incorporating critical thinking solutions and artistic expression through creative problem-solving. When I hear students working and saying how much fun they are having, I know that they are engaged and are enjoying the learning process.”
