Associate in Applied Sciences Degree
Richland College offers an Associate in Applied Sciences Degree in Multimedia Technology – Multimedia Web Design. The two-year program prepares students to work as creative and resourceful members of a Web development team, developing skills in cross-platform development and editing of graphics, audio files and animation for use on the Internet.
Certificates
Richland also offers Level I and II Certificates in:
- Internet Communications, teaching the design and development of Web sites for corporate, commercial and educational uses. Special emphasis is placed on incorporating multimedia elements to develop dynamic Web sites with instruction in advanced HTML and page layout techniques, basic client-side scripting, networks, security and legal issues as they relate to the internet.
- Multimedia Developer, training students in the development of interactive animation and training applications for corporations, educational institutions, governmental organizations and publishers.
- Visual Design, emphasizing digital imaging techniques, animation and 3-D graphics.

Beginning in Fall 2006, Richland will also offer a game-oriented Animator Certificate Level II, providing students with entry-level skills in the development of interactive computer games, 2-D and 3-D animations, and simulations for corporations, e-learning and governmental organizations.
