Brookhaven College

Ray Attner became a charter faculty member of Brookhaven College when the college opened in 1978. Over the years he has served as faculty dean of the Business Studies Division, director of the Marketing and Management Center, acting vice president of instruction, acting director of marketing for distance learning, and acting dean of Workforce and Continuing Education. He currently serves as a professor of business and management courses and as president of Brookhaven’s Faculty Association.

Mr. Attner holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from California State University-Long Beach and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northeast Louisiana State University. He was selected as a 2006 Piper Professor for superior teaching at the college level, one of only 15 professors of Texas colleges and universities selected annually. He has twice been honored by his colleagues as Brookhaven College’s Excellence in Teaching award winner, in 1981 and in 2005. His professional affiliations include the Texas Community College Teachers Association and the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce.
