As a working student, you may wish to earn a college degree but have limited time to attend classes. Offered through all seven Dallas County Community Colleges, the Management program gives working students an opportunity to improve their management skills while earning up to 12 college credit hours through on-the-job training.
Whether you're a seasoned manager, a new manager or an aspiring manager, this program can meet your development needs. Our management classes can help you develop real-world skills by using the latest techniques in quality management, group decision-making and human relations.
Our mentoring program has proven highly successful: Not only have students been promoted to positions of higher responsibility; many of them have earned Management Certificates and associate degrees and transferred to four-year colleges for their bachelor's degrees as well.
The Management Associate in Applied Sciences degree and Management Certificate are available at:
Brookhaven College
Cedar Valley College
Eastfield College
El Centro College
Mountain View College
North Lake College
Richland College
Supervisor Certificate
Six Dallas County Community Colleges offer a Supervisor Certificate. Choose from traditional, on-campus classes, or online classes that you can attend at your convenience - from home, from work or while traveling. The Supervisor Certificate is designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of first-level managers with the goal of improving organizational effectiveness.
This program concentrates on goal setting and leadership. Like the Management Associate in Applied Sciences degree and Certificate, the Supervisor Certificate allows you to earn college credit by applying new techniques at your current job.
The Supervisor Certificate is available at six of our seven colleges: Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro, Mountain View, North Lake and Richland.
Leadership Marketable Skills Achievement Award
Offered only at Cedar Valley College, the Leadership Marketable Skills Achievement Award can help you prepare for a leadership position in the business world. This program emphasizes entry-level supervisory skills, and, like the other Management awards, includes on-the-job training.
