Warehouse and Accessory Catalog Packing Supervisor
Abbot Laboratories
“I was working at Abbot Laboratories and looking for more in my career. I knew I would have more opportunities if I could just finish my education. I was attending North Lake to earn an associate degree in business, but honestly, I felt like I was just going through the motions.
“Then I found a degree that was perfect for the job I was currently in: Logistics Technology. I decided to change my degree program from business to Logistics Technology and start classes as soon as possible.
“Finally, my educational path started to make sense. The logistics classes covered subjects I dealt with in my daily activities, and this degree opened my eyes to new technology and techniques I could use at work.
“After spending several years working in a couple of different jobs in Abbot’s warehouse and start-up factory, I got a position in the warehouse as the supervisor. One of the things that gave me an advantage when applying for the supervisory position was my degree from North Lake College.
“I recommend this program to other students because of the many career opportunities that logistics training can give you.”
