Multimedia Program
Animation, computer graphics and video game-related skills are also included in Richland College’s Multimedia program.
Multimedia offers an Associate in Applied Sciences degree in Multimedia Web Design. The two-year program prepares students to work as creative and resourceful members of a Web development team, building skills in cross-platform development and editing of graphics, audio files and animation for use on the Internet.
Multimedia certificates include:
- Animator Level II Certificate, providing students with entry-level skills in the development of interactive computer games; 2-D and 3-D animations; and simulations for corporations, e-learning and governmental organizations.
- Internet Communications Level I Certificate, teaching the design and development of Web sites for corporate, commercial and educational uses. Special emphasis is placed on incorporating multimedia elements to develop dynamic Web sites with instruction in advanced HTML and page layout techniques, basic client-side scripting, networks, security and legal issues as they relate to the Internet.
- Multimedia Developer Level I Certificate and Level II Certificate, training students in the development of interactive animation and training applications for corporations, educational institutions, governmental organizations and publishers.
- Visual Design Level I Certificate and Level II Certificate, emphasizing digital imaging techniques, animation and 3-D graphics.
