“Coming from Cancún, Mexico, I was hoping to find a degree related to the hotel business, and North Lake College had the Hospitality Management program available. My classmates, teachers, really the whole program was the best part of my time at North Lake.
“I learned a lot from the program that I’m now applying to my job duties, especially in customer service. Teamwork is something I learned at North Lake, and I practice that every day at the Gaylord Texan.
“I would recommend this program to other students looking for a career in the hospitality industry — it is a very complete program.”
Belinda Orduña Muñoz earned an associate degree and certificate in Hospitality Management from North Lake College. In her job as a guest dispute representative at the Gaylord Texan, she assists guests with any disputes that arise during their stay, including receipts, packages, credit cards, restaurants and others. She also assists with other areas and issues.
