Amy Parker-Ferguson holds a master’s degree in education from the University of North Texas, health science technology certification from UNT, a bachelor’s degree in biology and physiology from UT-Arlington and an associate degree in nursing from Regeants Nursing School of the University of New York. Her certifications include PALS, CISM, CPR-IT, ACLS and PPPC-I.

She has served as biomedical coordinator at R.L. Turner High School since 1997 and as an instructor in Brookhaven’s EMS program since 2002. Previous experience includes serving as an emergency room nurse-paramedic at RHD Memorial Hospital; as an RN and EMT-P pediatric technician at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas; as lead RN and paramedic at Hurricane Harbor of Arlington and Med-Cor Dallas, the Texas Convention Center, Reunion Arena and Starplex; as an EMS education coordinator for Methodist Medical Center of Dallas; an ACLS paramedic and shift duty officer for Careflite of Dallas; and as an anesthesia technician and EKG level II technician for Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
