Did you know that the Dallas County Community College District is the largest undergraduate institution in the state of Texas? We typically serve more than 64,000 students each year on the campuses of our seven colleges.
What you may not know is that we also serve about 10,000 students annually through our online — or distance learning — classes. In fact, more than 2 million students have taken DCCCD courses through distance learning since the first telecourse, American Government, was produced in 1972.
Dallas TeleCollege, the online college of the Dallas County Community College District, offers students access to a full range of college courses. You can choose from associate degree and certificate options, taking courses where it’s convenient for you — at home, in your office, on a military base or anyplace else you like.
Leveraging DCCCD’s 35-year history as a leader and innovator in technology-based distance learning, Dallas TeleCollege lets you experience the college curriculum in your own environment using desktop and laptop computers, DVDs, CD-ROMs, the Internet, iPods, MP3 players and other PDAs.
The physical administrative offices for Dallas TeleCollege are located in the R. Jan LeCroy Center for Educational Telecommunications on the Richland College campus.
Named for the second chancellor of DCCCD, the 28,000-square-foot center offers a wide range of services to students, institutions of higher education and the community at large. See what the LeCroy Center has to offer.
