“I’m working on my associate degree in the Computer Information Technology program (Networking/Security path) here at Richland. I was looking for a class in computer security when a professor told me about this new program in digital forensics.
“I think a lot of people with computer degrees are looking for jobs, but having some background in computer forensics will give me a one-up in the job market. I also pay a lot more attention to my own computer security and understand a lot better how to help prevent personal identity theft.
“Zoltan Szabo is very straightforward in the way he teaches, and he explains the information well. He also adds in the business aspect of why we should be paying attention to security issues. In our labs, we learn what to look for on computers in the field and ways that everyone can be more security conscious.
“Once I get my associate degree, I think it will help me to have some background in computer security to find the kind of job that I want.”
