DCCCD helped my career because I was able to not only become a director of a child care center but also complete my bachelor’s degree. LaShonda Y. Brown earned a Child Development Associate Skills Achievement Award from Eastfield College and holds a bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University. As executive director of the Texas AEYC, she works with various organizations on issues affecting young children, families and professionals.
