Each program is carefully planned to provide in-depth, practical and theoretical knowledge of children from birth to age 12. Course selection and required number of credit hours vary by program.

The Child Development Associate in Applied Sciences degree is offered at Brookhaven College and Eastfield College.

Skills Achievement Awards are offered at both Brookhaven and Eastfield Colleges in:

Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) Degree

All seven DCCCD colleges also offer the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree, a degree program intended for students who wish to transfer to a four-year college or university and earn a bachelor's degree that leads to initial Texas teacher certification.
