Dr. Elizabeth Jane Rowe has worked in the early childhood field in a variety of settings since 1973. She has taught kindergarten and first grade in the DISD and has served as a childcare director for the Brookhaven Parent Child Study Center and for a corporate child center funded by the Zale foundation for teen mothers.
She earned her doctoral degree in early childhood education from Texas A&M University at Commerce, her master’s degree in child development/educational psychology from the University of Tennessee and her bachelor’s degree in child development/elementary education from Michigan State University.
Dr. Rowe is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has served as the affiliate president for both the state and local chapters. She was one of the pioneer validators for the AEYC accrediting body for early childhood programs. She is currently an active advocate, trainer and community leader in the field of early childhood for the Dallas area.
