How to Get Started
To get started in a CADD-related program, complete the admissions process at the college you want to attend:
- Eastfield College or Mountain View College for Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
- Richland College for Engineering Technology - Computer Aided Design (CAD)

When you meet with an academic advisor, mention your interest in the specific program so that he or she can help you to determine which courses you should take.
If you are planning to earn an associate degree or certificate, please note that you must complete 25 percent of your degree requirements at the college awarding the degree.
Tuition
Dallas County residents pay $123 per three-hour class — that’s $41 per credit hour, or less than $500 for a full semester load of 12 credit hours. Compare that to what you’d pay elsewhere! See DCCCD tuition rates for tuition according to your place of residency.

Developing Skills for Success
Our flexible curriculum allows you to specialize in many different types of computer aided design. The laboratories contain PC and Sun workstations along with printers, plotters and overhead teaching devices. Laboratory computers also feature the latest releases of AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Viz 4, Coreldraw and other CAD software. Home study and online courses leading to certificates and degrees are also offered.
