Jim White is the coordinator of the Department of Management at North Lake College. He has been at North Lake for 25 years and has taught numerous management and business courses. He did his undergraduate work at Texas A&M in finance and has a Master of Business Administration degree in management from the University of North Texas. After several years in business and government, Jim returned to graduate school and earned a second master’s in adult education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has done additional postgraduate work in management at UNT and at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Between stints at graduate school, Jim worked primarily as a staff manager on petrochemical construction projects. His last position before coming to North Lake was with Brown & Root’s Western Hemisphere Marine Division. He served as an assistant to the West Coast construction manager for the Alaska North Slope portion of the Alaska pipeline project.
Jim and his wife Tammy, who is with Verizon, have four children and eight grandchildren. He is a lifelong aviation enthusiast and pilot with a special interest in aviation history.
