Brookhaven College
Pat Byars has taught BOSS courses full-time at Brookhaven since 1999, and before that served as an adjunct faculty member for the college from 1982 to 1998. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She served as adjunct faculty in the Office Careers Department of the Spring Creek and Central campuses of Colin County Community College for 10 years, was a coordinator and paralegal for a law firm for four years, and a real estate property manager and legal assistant for four years. She has been nominated three times to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and was also nominated for Brookhaven’s Continuing Education Outstanding Teacher of the Year. She received a Superior Performance Award from the Resolution Trust Corp. and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the honorary business fraternity of the University of Texas at Austin. She is also a Texas notary and real estate broker.
