Becky Jones began teaching Office Technology courses at Richland in 1980 as an adjunct instructor, and from 1980 through 1997 had experience teaching all of the courses offered in the program. She became the college’s full-time Office Technology Program administrator in 1997. As associate dean of the Information Technology Institute, Jones teaches several classes each semester, advises students, hires and supervises adjunct faculty, and develops class schedules.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education and a Master of Education degree from the University of Nebraska. She received Richland College’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2000, was named Employee of the Month in December 2000, and participated in the National Institute for Leadership Development - Leaders in Bloom in 2001. She is IC3 certified in Internet and Computing Core Certification and is a Microsoft Office Specialist - Word 2000, 2002 and 2003.
