How to Get Started
To get started in the BOSS program, complete the admissions process at one of the six colleges that offer the program (Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro, North Lake or Richland). When you meet with an academic advisor, mention your interest in the BOSS program so he or she can help you determine which courses you should take.
If you are planning to earn an associate degree or certificate in Business Office Systems and Support, please note that you must complete 25 percent of your degree requirements at the college awarding the degree.

A Real-World Learning Environment
Most BOSS courses are taught in a hands-on, computer lab environment. All of the courses for the certificates and degrees are available online for students. All students must complete one semester of cooperative education to earn their degree.
Some students are members of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). Students who can provide documentation from IAAP that they have passed all sections of the Certified Professional Secretary exam (C.P.S.) should be granted 15 hours from a selected list of courses.
Faculty Profiles
Our BOSS faculty members not only have advanced degrees; they also have real-world experience in the business arena, which makes them able to relate to the challenges you face at your job.
Our professors work closely with you one-on-one, helping you to apply new techniques to your job and to map career-enhancement strategies. See profiles of some of our BOSS faculty.
