Our catalog provides detailed information about the Automotive Technology courses we offer and the courses required for the following degrees and certificates:

Associate in Applied Sciences Degrees

You can earn an Associate in Applied Sciences Degree - Service Technician at three DCCCD colleges. Please note that the degree plan for Brookhaven College varies somewhat from the degree plan for Cedar Valley and Eastfield Colleges.
Brookhaven College also offers an Associate in Applied Sciences Degree – Dealership-Sponsored Technician for students interested in the General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP) or the Ford Automotive Student Service Educational Training (ASSET) program. To enter this program, you must be sponsored by participating dealerships approved by the college.

Certificates

Brookhaven, Cedar Valley and Eastfield colleges each offer four certificate options:

Specialty Programs

Brookhaven College offers the Dealership-Sponsored program with Ford and General Motors, along with corporate sponsors Nissan, Bridgestone-Firestone and others.
Cedar Valley College offers heavy equipment training to interested students in addition to its automotive program.
Eastfield College provides training in conjunction with Toyota in the nationally affiliated Toyota Technical Education Network (T-TEN) program in addition to a comprehensive auto body program.
