Attorney
Scott Law Office PC

“I was writing enormous checks to auto body shops for my collection of 1960s muscle cars. About five years ago, I decided I’d learn to do it myself, and I began taking Auto Body classes at Eastfield for my own enjoyment. I’ve finished painting three cars at Eastfield and will soon be completing the fourth, a ’74 Dodge Challenger Rallye.

“I’m proudest of my work on a ‘Starsky and Hutch’ Torino; it’s red with a lightning stripe just like the one on the 1970s cop show. It’s a fun hobby, but since the value of cars has gone up over the past several years, it’s a good investment too.

“The most important thing I’ve learned in Eastfield’s Auto Body classes is the correct use of tools and equipment. The faculty there is really top-notch. You can watch people doing body work on TV or on film, but until you actually do it, you can’t appreciate what’s involved. If you mess up, there’s a faculty member standing right there to help you fix your mistake.

“The lab is fantastic — there’s nothing you can’t do there. I’ve taken in some rusty, horrible hulks and come out of there with trophy-winning cars.”

Self-employed attorney Greg Scott focuses his insurance defense practice in the areas of arson, insurance fraud and defense of third-party casualty claims, including wrongful death actions. A former Dallas police officer, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University, a master’s degree in political science and history from UT-Arlington and a law degree from St. Mary’s University.

He has taken Auto Body classes at Eastfield College for the past five years to be able do his own body and paint work for his hobby, collecting and showing 1960s muscle cars.
