How to Get Started
To get started in the Accounting program, complete the admissions process at any of the seven DCCCD colleges. When you meet with an academic advisor, mention your interest in the Accounting program so he or she can help you determine which courses you should take.
If you are planning to earn an associate degree or certificate, please note that you must complete 25 percent of your degree requirements at the college awarding the degree.
Tuition
Dallas County residents pay $123 per three-hour class — that’s $41 per credit hour, or less than $500 for a full semester load of 12 credit hours.

Mountain View College offers the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy College Course Review (PDF - 54KB). Course applicants must have a bachelor’s degree; these courses are equivalent to upper-level college courses and can lead to an Advanced Accounting Technical Certificate, a post-graduate level certificate.

Accounting Program Goals
- Provide two transfer accounting courses, ACCT 2301/2401 and ACCT 2302/2402, required by most business transfer programs.
- Offer a comprehensive awards program that includes an associate degree, two certificates and one enhanced skills certificate.
