Dr. Lou Bravo enjoys teaching accounting as well as nutrition at North Lake College, where he has served as faculty for more than 25 years. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona; a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas; master’s degrees in education administration from the University of Houston at Clear Lake City and accounting from the University of Houston; and a doctoral degree in nutrition from Texas Woman’s University.

He worked for the accounting firm of Ernst and Ernst (now Ernst and Young). He taught accounting at the University of Houston and San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas, as well as nutrition at TWU.

Dr. Bravo is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Dallas chapter, as well as the Texas Community College Teachers Association (TCCTA). He is also a member of the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Dr. Bravo writes a monthly nutrition column for the Dallas chapter of the TSCPA entitled “Ask the Doc CPA.”
