How to Get Started
To get started in the Marketing Careers program, complete the admissions process at Brookhaven College or Cedar Valley College for Business Marketing; or at El Centro College for Fashion Marketing. When you meet with an academic advisor, mention your interest in Marketing Careers so he or she can help you to determine which courses you should take.
If you are planning to earn an associate degree or certificate, please note that you must complete 25 percent of your degree requirements at the college awarding the degree.
Tuition
Dallas County residents pay $135 per three-hour class — that’s $45 per credit hour, or less than $550 for a full semester load of 12 credit hours.
Compare that to what you’d pay elsewhere! See DCCCD tuition rates for tuition according to your place of residency.
Rising Star Program
If you are a Dallas County high school graduating senior, you may qualify for Rising Star funds to help pay for this program. The Rising Star program offers academic support services and up to $4,000 for tuition and books, if you have established financial need.

Accreditation
All seven DCCCD colleges are individually accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Why is accreditation important? Being accredited means that a college has met certain standards of quality set by an independent accrediting agency. Attending an accredited institution is the best way to ensure your degree (and all the hard work that went into it) will be recognized by other colleges and universities when you transfer and by future employers. Federal financial aid is only available to students of accredited colleges and universities.

Developing Skills for Success
While you’re getting your education in DCCCD Business or Fashion Marketing Careers, get on-the-job training in a marketing-related field with a sponsoring business. Cooperative education provides you with the work experience required to get the job you really want when you graduate.
Fashion Marketing students also complete volunteer projects in advertising, display, fashion shows and special events for small fashion retail businesses. The capstone experience for this program is cooperative education, in which students apply classroom knowledge and skills to fashion-oriented jobs in the local workplace.
Faculty Profiles
Our faculty members not only have advanced degrees but also have real-world experience in the business world, making them able to relate to the challenges you face at work.
