How To Get Started
To get started in the Management program, complete the admissions process at the Dallas County Community College of your choice. When you meet with an academic advisor, discuss your interest in the Management program. He or she will help you determine which courses you should take.
Most Management courses do not have prerequisites for admitted students, but a few do. Please visit the links below for our Management degree and certificates, and click on individual course descriptions to see prerequisites for those courses.
Tuition
Dallas County residents pay $135 per three-hour class — that’s $45 per credit hour, or less than $550 for a full semester load of 12 credit hours.
Compare that to what you’d pay elsewhere! See DCCCD tuition rates for tuition according to your place of residency.
Rising Star Program
If you are a Dallas County high school graduating senior, you may qualify for Rising Star funds to help pay for this program. The Rising Star program offers academic support services and up to $4,000 for tuition and books, if you have established financial need.
Courses Offered (Curriculum)
Our catalog provides detailed information about the Management courses we offer and the courses required for our awards, as well as which of our colleges offers a particular award:
Accreditation
All seven DCCCD colleges are individually accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Why is accreditation important? Being accredited means that a college has met certain standards of quality set by an independent accrediting agency. Attending an accredited institution is the best way to ensure your degree (and all the hard work that went into it) will be recognized by other colleges and universities when you transfer and by future employers. Federal financial aid is only available to students of accredited colleges and universities.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
This program includes cooperative education classes that let you earn college credit by applying what you learn in the classroom to your current job. As you accept more responsibility and new challenges, your visibility at work will be enhanced, and you'll become more valuable to your organization.
