Jeffrey Wendt is a seasoned logistics professional with more than 30 years of experience in supply chain efficiency from holding management positions in distribution, logistics and teaching. He earned an associate degree in transportation management from Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Ill., and received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Dallas Baptist University. He holds an MBA with a concentration in supply chain management from the University of Dallas, and began doctoral studies at North Dakota State University in 2009. He has served as the Logistics Technology program coordinator at North Lake College since May 2013.
His industry experience began in manufacturing in a management capacity. From there, he moved into distribution; he held positions as logistics manager and assistant director of distribution with two large corporations, where he was involved in transportation and operations management. His research interests are in the improvement of the supply chain distribution systems through the use of emerging technologies.
He is a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon, an honorary and professional management fraternity, for his academic achievements. He is also certified in transportation and logistics through the American Society of Transportation and Logistics and holds the designation of certified logistics practitioner through the Institute of Logistical Management.
