Greg Jacobs started his career with the colleges of DCCCD as a charter member of North Lake College when it opened in 1977, as a member of its Counseling Division. He moved to Brookhaven College a year after it opened in 1978. With a background in social psychology and counseling, he has served the college in counseling and career advisement as well as full-time teaching and now coordinates the academic areas of Anthropology, Criminology and Sociology.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a Master’s of Education degree in guidance and counseling, both from the University of North Texas. He worked as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) for more than 30 years in private practice, specializing in marriage, family and adolescent counseling.
