Cynthia Manzano, M.S.W., LMSW

Cynthia Manzano has been an adjunct instructor at Eastfield College since 2010. She holds a master’s degree in advanced clinical social work from Columbia University in New York City and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She works as a counseling specialist at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she provides individual and group counseling to UTA students.

Prior to joining UTA, she was a clinical social worker for the Federation Employment and Guidance Services clinic in the Bronx, N.Y., providing individual, group and family therapy to high school students. She also has several years of experience working in community mental health centers providing services to diverse populations and has worked internationally providing child protective services.

Her particular areas of interest include issues surrounding relationships, gender and diversity, depression, self-esteem, and family of origin. She is pursuing a doctoral degree focusing on clinical social work and is a licensed master social worker (LMSW).
