Did you know that together, the colleges of DCCCD enroll more undergraduate students than any other college, university or community college system in the state? We serve more than 85,000 students through our seven colleges.
Each year, about 10,000 of our students take online — or distance learning — classes. In fact, more than 2 million students have taken courses through distance learning since we began offering them in 1972.
And the number keeps growing. In the past five years, enrollment in distance learning classes has more than doubled!
What We Offer
Dallas Colleges Online, the distance learning service of the Dallas County Community College District, offers students access to a full range of college courses. You can choose from associate degree and certificate options, taking courses where it’s convenient for you — at home, in your office, on a military base or anyplace else you like.
Dallas Colleges Online lets you learn using desktop and laptop computers, the Internet, audio players and other portable devices.
Distance Learning Degrees, Certificates and Awards
All students who earn an entire associate degree online will earn their degree using one of our seven colleges as their “home college.” To receive an associate degree, a minimum of 16 credit hours or 25 percent of your course work must be completed through your home college.
