Coordinator, Continuing Education and Workforce Development (Position No. 060808067)
Salary: $3,231 / Month
A full-time position in the Workforce Training/Continuing Education Department. Duties include but not limited to:
  • Responsible for coordination and decision making of the support processes of a program area within the Continuing Education division and Workforce Development Division.
  • Directs the clerical support functions of the program area assigned within the division.
  • Responsible for managing course preparation, instructor preparation, student registration, developing course schedules, course selection, facilities, organization, production and distribution of class schedules, brochures and various forms of advertising including marketing with the goal of increasing program awareness.
  • Insures data completion including rolls, outlines, instructor certification.
  • Assists with the preparation of the grants and proposals and prepares ongoing reports of grant activity.
  • Ability to interact with Community Employers and Chamber of Commerce.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of related work experience, including supervisory experience or Associates degree and five years of related work experience, including supervisory experience or graduation from high school or equivalent and seven years of progressively responsible related work experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, prepare reports and communicate with others.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills to meet the varied needs of the students and to interact with varying levels of DCCCD staff and individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Official transcripts may be required.
  • A criminal background check will be conducted.
