This is a Part-time position (Hours Vary) in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Science Department. Teach Government courses using a variety of teaching modalities in a classroom environment and perform other duties expected of a part-time faculty member as specified in the DCCCD contract. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Participates enthusiastically in recruitment and retention activities, contributes to the department’s curriculum development efforts. Requires professional demeanor, good communications skills, interpersonal skills, writing syllabi, exams and ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse background. Develop multimedia instruction to meet a variety of learning styles. Must be willing to utilize computer technology to support learning opportunities for the students and facilitate student to instructor communication.

Requirements:

Master’s degree or higher and 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline. Excellent computer (software and Internet) skills, oral/written communication skills are also needed to interact with students of varying socio-economic backgrounds. Resume and official transcripts will be required. A criminal background check will be conducted.
