A Part-time teaching position (Hours Vary) in the Science, Allied Health and Physical Education Department. Duties include but are not limited to:

Teach courses in Associate Degree Nursing program using a variety of teaching modalities in a classroom environment and perform other duties expected of a full-time faculty member as specified in the DCCCD contract.

Must be flexible working with program demands, including teaching schedules involving day, evening or weekend and non-traditional teaching times on and off site.

Serve on appropriate departmental, college and district committees.

Participates enthusiastically in recruitment and retention activities; advise students regarding degree/certificate plans and coursework; engages in professional development activities; contributes to the department’s curriculum development efforts.

Requirements:

Master’s degree or higher in Nursing.

Licensed as RN in the State of Texas.

Three years demonstrated expertise in an ADN program or three years recent hospital clinical experience.

Specialty needed: Med-Surg or any of the following Med-Surg/OB, Med-Surg/Pedi or Med/Psych.

Requires professional demeanor, good communications skills, interpersonal skills, writing syllabi and exams.

Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

Official transcript and TX RN license required with application.
