Health Professions

Richland’s Health Professions certificate programs are:

  • Health Unit Coordinator
  • Institutional Pharmacy Technician
  • Community Pharmacy Technician
  • Phlebotomy Technician
  • Medical Office Technology
  • Medical Assisting
  • Insurance Coding and Billing for the Medical Office 
  • Medical Practice Manager 
  • Medication Aide
  • ACPE Approved IV Technician

Students may attend health professions classes part-time or full-time, days or evenings, and pay as they go. All these programs may be completed in one year or less. Most require that students have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old. Proficiency in written and spoken English, math, keyboarding and word processing skills are also important. Some programs require a criminal background check and drug screening.
