Students in the North Lake College Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Alpha Zeta Eta chapter, are petitioning the Irving City Council to recognize Sept. 21 as the city’s official “Day of Peace.” To mark the occasion, the students are proposing that the city adopt the “Pinwheels for Peace” project.

For the seventh year in a row, a student from North Lake College’s Computer Graphics program has won the Dallas Farmer’s Market Calendar competition.
