| DCCCD, Langston University Agree to Smooth Transfers for Students - April 12, 2007 Officials with the Dallas County Community College District and Langston University (Okla.) have signed an agreement that enables DCCCD students to finish their associate degrees and then transfer seamlessly to Langston University to pursue their bachelor’s degrees — giving them yet another option to continue their careers in higher education. Langston is Oklahoma’s only historically black university. |

Also: The Board of Nurse Examiners for the state of Texas has announced that the organization will continue full approval status for the Brookhaven College associate degree nursing program. |

| DCCCD Teacher Education Program Receives Gift From Credit Union of Texas - Sept. 21, 2007 Tomorrow's teachers who will graduate from the Dallas County Community College District are receiving help today thanks to the Credit Union of Texas. A $15,000 gift from the credit union will provide funds for student and marketing initiatives for the district's teacher education programs; those teacher preparation students also will be eligible to receive some of the same benefits that credit union members already enjoy. |

Students Prepare for College - Oct. 27, 2007 “Las Llaves del Éxito” (“The Keys to Success”), a free one-day program offered by the Dallas County Community College District, provides students with information about how to navigate the system so that they can attend a college or university. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Eastfield College. Students in grades six through 12, and their parents, are encouraged to attend. |
