Ready to take credit classes during DCCCD's winter or spring term? Then it's time to rev up for registration. Priority registration (for returning students) began Tuesday, Nov. 16, and regular registration started Monday, Nov. 22.
Make the Most of Your Winter Break
Are you a highly motivated student who can devote time to an intense, fast-paced program of study? Then consider enrolling in a winter term course. This "minimester" lets you earn three or more credit hours in just a few weeks.
The winter term class schedule is different at each college but typically lasts from mid-December through early January. Winter term course offerings vary by college, also; subjects include accounting, biology, English, speech, U.S. history and more.
For returning students, priority registration for winter term began Tuesday, Nov. 16, and continued through Sunday, Nov. 21. (See the eligibility requirements for priority registration.) Regular registration began Monday, Nov. 22; the length of regular registration varies by college.
Get in Gear for the Spring Semester
It'll still feel like winter, but spring term credit classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 18. For these courses, priority registration for returning students began Tuesday, Nov. 16, and ended Sunday, Nov. 21. (See the eligibility requirements for priority registration.) Regular registration began Monday, Nov. 22, and concludes Monday, Jan. 17. (All DCCCD offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 17, but you can still use eConnect and telephone registration on that day if you are eligible to register online. See the eligibility requirements for online registration.)
If you're new to college, plan to start the registration process early. You must complete the application, orientation, assessment and advising process before you can register for classes. (Learn more about the admissions process.)
As of Nov. 2, students with an eConnect log in can plan their schedules on eConnect with Plan My Schedule. Also as of Nov. 2, all students can search for credit classes using eConnect.
Note that registration dates and times may vary by college; visit your college's Web site for the most current information.
