Ever since he was a small boy, Juan wanted to be a firefighter. Today he is a man who makes a difference in his community – from mentoring rookies at Station 24 in Dallas to delivering babies.
Juan advises others to follow a new path if they hit a curve in the road. He took that path himself several years ago and discovered a new challenge, believing it would make him a better person and enable him to teach others.
That fork in the road led him to the Dallas County Community College District, where he completed his education and worked full time, too.
