What is Day of Service?

Day of Service is a districtwide event dedicated to volunteering and bettering our community.

We’ve always contributed to our community through education, so why not dedicate a day to helping the community in other ways?

Options for Your Day of Service

• Pick from one of more than 20 districtwide agencies (You’ll register online for this option.)
• Attend a location-based Day of Service event. (Contact your location Day of Service representative for more information. Not every location will have a separate event.)
• Other development options, including approved travel and conferences. Talk to your supervisor if you’re unsure about this option.

Make sure you talk to your supervisor if you have questions about your work responsibilities for this day. Every location has a different plan, so make sure you know what is expected of you.

Isn’t there a professional development day, too?

Yes. Thursday, March 1 is Professional Support Staff Development Day and Faculty/Administrator Development Day. Don’t forget to register!
